Packing advice
- Shop early—it is less stressful and you don’t want to be fighting with your parents before you leave about what you need to buy for college.
- Remember to bring things that make you feel at home: photographs of family and friends, important mementos, or anything else that will make your dorm room personalized.
- Don't bring all of your clothes. Dorm rooms are small and you will not have enough space for four seasons of clothing.
- Come to terms with your lifestyle. If you do not iron maybe its best not to take up the space in your closet and don’t bring it.
- Check with your roommate before you get to school to make sure you don’t bring two of everything. (ex. Microwave/TV/Floor rugs)
